Insurance & Payments

At Horvath Family Dentistry, our goal is to promote good dental health. We accept several types of PPO Dental Insurance Plans, Cash, Checks, Major Credit Cards and Care Credit.

Dental Insurance

The knowledgeable staff at Horvath Family Dentistry is experienced in working with dental insurance providers. We will work directly with you and your insurer to submit claims regarding your dental care. We strive to ensure that you understand your insurance coverage and will answer any questions you may have regarding your benefits. Any information we have about dental benefits comes from the general information the insurance company has provided (through a web portal, speaking to an insurance representative, or by way of a limited, faxed benefit summary). Many current dental plans are designed to cover many of the basic costs, but not all costs associated with dental care. Most plans often require a co-payment, as well as, additional costs associated with treatment.

At Horvath Family Dentistry, our treatment recommendations will always be based on the options for your specific condition. We would be happy to submit a pre-treatment estimate to your dental insurance provider, as well as, claims and advocate on your behalf, but ultimately expenses that your insurance company does not cover will be your responsibility.

Our main goal is to partner with you to achieve a higher standard of oral health. We certainly understand that the insurance business is very complex and this complexity can lead to frustration. Our team wants to help you receive the maximum benefit that you are entitled to under your insurance plan by filing claims as a service to you.

Please remember that your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company. If our office is able to accept your insurance company’s assignment, it does not absolve the patient of responsibility for the charges in full for treatment rendered. Any estimate provided by our office is considered a guideline until the final insurance payment, if any, is received and the patient’s account has been reconciled. Our office can make no guarantee of the insurance payment as estimated. The agreed upon payment plan for the patient’s estimated portion must be kept current or the assignment will be canceled and the full amount will become due and payable. Claims are submitted promptly after treatment is rendered. Our administrative staff prides itself on helping our patients maximize their benefits. We are always available to answer any question you may have regarding our services. We strive to give each of our patients the optimum treatment plan and level of care available; therefore, we base your dental treatment on what is best for your health and do not let insurance coverage dictate your dental care. Any treatment which is not covered (in part or in full) by your insurance plan will be your financial responsibility. If you have any questions about our financial options, please contact us. We will be happy to go over your options in more detail.

Contact our office at (412) 837-2963 to find out if your insurance provider is accepted in our office or contact your dental provider customer service department directly for participating providers.

Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts

Many employers are offering Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) as options to employees. Sometimes these are referred to as cafeteria plans and are elective, supplemental insurance savings plans. These plans are designed to let you save money in an account, pre-tax, to pay for additional dental, vision or medical expenses. Check with the benefits administrator at your work to confirm eligible for this program. FSA's and HSA's can typically be used in conjunction with any dental insurance plan to offset any out-of-pocket costs on your behalf, please confirm with your current provider.

Other Payment Options

Our staff understands that cost is a concern when evaluating dental care providers. We do not want cost to be an obstacle to maintaining proper dental health. We accept various forms of payment at Horvath Family Dentistry, Cash, Check, Major Credit Cards and Care Credit. Call (412) 837-2963 today to schedule your dental exam today.
